During the preparation for the 8th Offshore Wind Asia Summit (OWA), the organizing committee team visited the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Civil Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). They conducted in-depth exchanges with the school’s experts on topics such as global trends in floating offshore wind technology and "industry-university-research" collaborative innovation. The strong support from academic think tanks has injected professional momentum into the conference.
As a key research hub in China’s naval architecture and ocean engineering field, SJTU’s School of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Civil Engineering showcased its innovations in floating offshore wind technology and achievements in international academic exchanges. Vice Dean Gao Zhen spoke positively of the previous conference, noting, "The collision of wisdom between academia and industry can effectively improve the efficiency of technology transformation, providing multi-dimensional solutions for deep-sea wind power development."
